I have blindly voted how the company told me for 25 years.
(I was RIF' Dec 2015 and over 50 yrs old)
Now, even if it does not mean anything, I feel better voting as follows
Recommendation:
Section A - Vote "AGAINST" 1 thru 12 (All of them) , Proposal 2 & 3 Vote AGAINST.
Section B - Vote FOR items 4 thru 9
while our votes do not matter, it still feels good, to do so.
Guess what? Some institutional owners are fed up at the debt and direction if Verizon under McAdumbs.

Sorry to bum you people out but your vote really does not matter.
The only votes that matter are the large institutional shareholders who hold millions of shares. Those people who hold those shares are a) either already on the board or b) are in bed with the current board. The board listens to those people.
As of the end of 2015 65% of the shares are institutionally owned. No institutional investor has been yelling for a change (ala Yahoo) so it is basically a lock everything the board wants will be voted their way.
I did this as well. I am tempted to show up in Albuquerque for the meeting and cause a ruckas.
Remember. If you don't vote then the vote goes to Verizon.

I did the same...it was so fun to vote no on Lowell. He should loose his job too!
