Severance/WFR Package

I think I'm about to lose my job. What does the severance package look like for HPE employees?

It used to be pretty good, but of course HP couldn't have that so now it is 1 week if you have over 11 years in and and something like .4 days for each year served for over the 11 years.

It is easy to find. Assuming you are an active employee, go to our homepage at HPNN, type U.S. Workforce Reduction Program in the search box. There is an entire share point site devoted to it, it will show you the calculations, the schedule of payouts and has an informative FAQs section. They re-wrote the policy as of Feb 1, 2016, it is less generous than previous ones. AND I have heard, if they change your job location and you choose not to go it is considered a resignation - not a WFR = no severance.

The severance package was pretty good last year (when I was laid off). I got 1 week severance for each year of service, two months Cobra pay, and payment for unused PTO/Vacation plus unemployment insurance. Unfortunately I believe they have changed the severance policy to something a lot less. Wouldn't hurt to start looking for a job now as the person above stated.

If I were you I would start looking for jobs rather than holding still. Trust me, HPE severance pay is not very good.
