When life becomes too hard to bear human kind seeks to escape reality, however brief it may be. The biggest example of this is in India where hundreds of millions of people, daily, escape their wretched, poverty stricken lives by going into the cinemas to watch movies. For a few flitting moments their weak worthless lives transform to where they are heroes. Courageous, decisive, they win through against terrible odds, emerging victorious heroes, loved and admired by the surrounding crowd.
Over and over the Union people run to this board to escape their weak wretched lives. To bandy big words, superhero words. "Willing to fight for what is right," hands on hips, standing tall, underwear on the outside. Reality blurs and Clark Kent, Union worker, is transformed.
Reality! Monday April 4th arrives. Dressed in the vz uniform, with underwear correctly placed, Clark Kent climbs into the cab of the truck and, with a sigh, kicks the engine into life. Cursong the company, Lowell, the union leadership. Hopes were dashed, no call to strike came, it never has, probably never will. But all is not lost! At night, Clark can escape his meek weak world, returning to this board, where, once again, he can wear his underwear topside.
