We all know enrollment numbers are down. I think it would be a good idea to have a focus group with some of the enrollment counselors to hear their ideas. I also think it would help to get a group of UoPhx executives to spend a month or a couple weeks in the enrollment counselor role. See what is done day to day then work with your teams to offer suggestions. We all know cost is an issue but maybe those who don't perform this job day to day can offer some wonderful suggestions. This could go for any areas of the company that need improvement.

Idea layoff 485 employees and do the samething
The problem with this suggestion is that you are asking those in the 'Ivory Tower' to come up with ideas for tasks they don't do. When that question of 'what should we do' came to me from the Dean of the COE not one individual could come up with anything on that email. I was an AC and offered multiple suggestions...no one chimed in to support or pitch any ideas. So yeah, they know something needs to be done, duh. None of them have the intellect or care to make a change. They are riding this train until the whees fall off! Obama and his pals knew what they were doing, taking our the biggest fish in the pond. Good luck finding work with this job on your resume.
Brace yourselves.
How about we start with actually making our ERs work for the money they get every two weeks? If they just cut their frisbe playing by 1/3 I bet enrollments would double. They spend more time not working than the guy who sits at the freeway exit begging for money yet they make 2-3x what other departments make. Over paid and lazy ERs are flooding the floor yet people just can't seem to put a finger on why enrollments are down?? You don't need a degree to understand this. If we just start with the Vaca brothers the world would quickly be a better place.
Chalk up some coke like robbie c and Sandy b
Lol, I have to agree.
The people I talk to on a daily basis are f*cking retarded.
One of my teammates had a student ask her if she could setup direct deposit for her excess funds without having a checking account.
Yes that really happened.
Here's an idea: cut staff even more, implement some sort of REAL admissions requirements to weed out people that can't write out a coherent thought, and strengthen the academic reputation of the university. Enrollment needs to continue to decrease and academic standards need to increase. That's the only path that will save University of Phoenix.
How about you f---ing losers just close up shop and admit it was all a scam all along?
Hey Jane, we actually went and scheduled your meeting with the Bob's. They will be happy to assist you packing your box and helping you see your way out the f in door.
Who can help arrange this focus group? Any execs or managers on this site can you assist?
Great idea Jane, set that meeting up stat!
