Wal-mart does outsource to all the big offshore players and they have been the subject of dozens of unfair work practice lawsuits in the last decade
Y'all - I think you have been misinformed on a number of issues you stated concerning WalMart. And I personally know someone who worked in their IT department in AR, it truly was a sweatshop. They didn't stick around.
Y'all - Walmart has an excellent IT department. They do not outsource, however they hire developers from the countries where there data centers are located, as it should be. There are many fine articles about the quality of Walmart systems. Retail system leaders. Their logistics systems alone are a huge competitive advantage.

Actually I don't. Try and shop local as possible, better for the community in which I live. Good comparison though Follett and WalMart. WalMart's IT department is a sweatshop.
I don't shop at WalMart. I shop local whenever possible. Many areas have fought to keep WalMart stores put of the districts and won.
I do hope none of y'all shop at WalMart!
