Experience equals expensive. You'll be driven to resignation or you'll be fired. There is no package for those who worked for Follett for more than 20 years.
While IT may be getting whacked, you are not the only ones, huge layoffs outside of IT. Follett is making decisions to get rid of employees many who had longer tenure and higher salaries and replacing with lower salaries. They are smart, it is not the same position so they don't run into legal problems.
Yes. A few of us contacted Lisa Madigan's office regarding Follett and it was actually brought to their office via MLS when IT had started to want to get rid of American workers and outsource for cheaper labor. Follett will be investigated, but the last legal person working with the state had recently left and who knows who picked it up.
