This is bigger than Target hack where the CEO and CFO had to step down. They screw communication workers, Karma screws the executives.

VZ cloud is a playing ground for hackers. No sane person will consider VZ when it comes for cloud infrastructure. VZ is lucky that they sold the Datacenter business last year.
Breach...? No way. Just look at our physical building security. Many building exterior doors can be opened just by using force, no need for swipe card or keys. Just put some pressure on the door handle.
Why would the cyber security be any better? It's all bubble gum, duct tape, and wet dreams here!!
Watch, like 20 million verizon customers will have their identity stolen beginning tomorrow.
But it wasn't verizon....nope....we asked them and they said no way not us.
Have a nice day.
. There are very strict laws on reporting ANY breach
bwahahahahahaha....
Verizon management has a strict "don't ask, don't tell" policy that surrounds almost everything.
The total truth and loss of data will never be known.
They will be snickering around their scotch glasses this weekend as they mock the customers, whose identity was compromised.
Disgusting here....
Its getting deep a shovel wont be enough for this pile Lowell
Any press is good press right Lowell
Look at the Anthem BC/BS data breach. Verizon employees had personal and medical data stolen. Connect the dots everyone.
Privacy in this country is a mirage. Every corporation has all the info and most of these corporations have no instruments to detect a data breach. The people of this country is kept in complete darkness by its media and the corporate driven govt. Simple example- a medicine pill that cost less than 1 cent in outside countries is sold to Americans at $80.
Rumor around BR today is that Ajay "retired"
Unfortunate and bitter truth is verizon does not have any systems in place to detect the extent of data breach. They have very incompetent security and IT leadership. I am confident that we will never know how vast and deep is this breach. Verizon dirty management will go any extent to dilute this news and it's consequences.
Time will tell, don't bet your life on that.
-noe there was no other data breached. There are very strict laws on reporting ANY breach .How affected customers MUST be contacted. Also what action plan was put into place. Law enforcement must be advised. As much as any would like to see big red get a foot up it;s ass this isn't it.
No matter how much some on here want to sugar coat the data breach , for Verizon a communication company and all the personal data they store its alarming. I would not be surprised if the NSA gets involved. And for anyone on here who truly believes there wasn't more data breached just look at the past data breaches involving other companies and what we were told ,and how much more information was divulged after the investigations.
couldn't have happened to a more arrogant and deserving bunch.
Verzon s claiming tht it was contact info. why would anybody go though the trouble of hacking and get only the customer contact info. I am sure they would have copied the whole database. am no DBA but I think that is easy once u hack into a system.
Let's be clear here. The info grabbed was just enterprise customers contact info. It was not CPNI . Not good but , it could have been worse.
The good thing about life is that karma never expires. VZ's leaders have done a lot of dirty deeds to the workforce and ruined a lot of families for years. This is just the beginning...consumer data will probably be next. Roll on karma...roll on!
I bet Verizon has already contacted all 1M+ business customers and reported the issue. Na, I changed my mind. I wouldn't bet on that.
OP, 1.5 million Enterprise customers hacked.
Individual accounts OK...so far.
That mgf is the tale of the tape. Almost regardless of what the c-suite peeps do, the company continues to earn a profit - just not from anything thought up by its current floundering management. This company could function quite well without any VPs or EDs and most of the Ds.
Where is this companies good news. I guess you could say stock price, but man everything else seems like bad press. They get fined, hacked, new products struggle, and on and on.
One can only hope this burns them...
Funny thing is verizon is claiming nothing much was stolen, sounds plausible that the cyberattacker did not touch any idea and did it for the fun of it. If the hacker was smart enough to hack the systems, he was smart enough to get what he was looking for.
yup, this website was full of people in distress over replacements by h1b and offshoring to other countries. Exact same thing happened at TARGET. Now the communication industry is paying the price.
Correction - "love" not lover. (Stupid phone)
I lover Karma. I hope it visits Verizon a lot!
...and get an non-American LGBTXYZ girly boy to do the commerical and blame it all on Kansas!
Lowell is thinking to himself....."How can we make a commercial with different colored balls to put a positive spin on this? "
you know that is exactly how this happened and why heads really need to roll in building 4.
Also the fact that lot of outsourcing and offshoring at the cost of employees right. That takes the control right off one's hands.
This is exactly why no one wants VZs Cloud offerings, and why the company is not even considered a serious player in enterprise.
