Thread regarding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) layoffs

HPE is stuck in a funk with no direction and no where to go

Here's the problem, none of the leadership now or before has the vision to lead this company to success. Meg is one of them, I think she's a good self promoter and comes around as if she knows a lot (we are comparing her to CEOs and not us, right).

eBay was started by Pierre Omidyar and Meg was there for the ride off course, she has no new ideas all she can do is run the company from a strict financial view, which would amount to a slow death.

As someone said here the company still lives back in the 1990's. If any of the CEO's were good enough then they would not have let Amazon, Rackspace and other in the Cloud domain take the lead in infrastructure and services.

HPE is stuck in a funk with no direction and no where to go as they lost the lead by not being innovative. I for myself is pretty much ready to start my own Cloud initiative - if the HPE culture was rewarding, inviting and flexible enough then perhaps I would have used my ideas for them. Too bad it cannot be so because their is no leadership here just poor management.

The culture is strange indeed. They are focusing so much negativity on EMC and other competitors that it's dragging them down. I attended various virtual meetings set up for the company by higher up execs who would talk poorly of EMC for the entire meeting duration. How the heck is that productive or innovative?

HP went off course ever since the company started following Wall Street instead of continuing on its own Way. That was when I decided in 1999 to bail after some twenty plus years with the firm.
