I'm not going to make this cut, it was nice working with the fine employees at my garage. Partly of my decision I've chose to leave, I cant constantly attack my very productive employees, let it be known we are told to ( if you cant find a problem create one, get them off the books ). I cant in good conscious do this to employees that day in and day out put themselves their families, friends and life on hold for a company that considers them a deficit.

The workload and workrules are indeed outrageous. Correct, the company has made it impossible for frontline to care about the customer. It seems to me when you force people to work 12-14 hours a day 6-7 days a week to exhaustion and the second they "only" work a 8 hour day you suspend them, well its about screwing that employee over with no pay, paper trail, and ultimately a diagruntled worker. That worker is now going spend the rest of their career getting back at the company. There is no legit business reason to do this.
It's proven psychology. Verizon needs exposed by an AG or more than one AG. It seeens also verizon needs less customers because they cannot maintain what they have. What was once a great company and a well oiled machine is now a 4th rate hole that google or apple would not hire to mop their floors.
When you have management disciplining their employees at the absurdness Verizon is doing, The customers are the ones getting hurt in the crossfire. The employee is forced to work to the letter of the work rule, as to not get disciplined, and the work rules, as we all know are so outrages, that nothing will get done in any productive manner. To hell with the customer. The work rules are designed to be nothing more than a written document to suspend and or terminate an employee.
Service Techs, splicing techs, OPTs all being suspended for 5,7,10,30 days for nothing. At all. All made up lately. How does Andy Quinn Jr. , Bob Clarke and Tracy Jackson sleep at night? Scumbags. One has a super sick child, but our personal and family reasons for not working 72+ hour weeks are met with suspensions.
The other with 5 children to an ex wife must understand what family obligations are right??
Nope, suspend and terminate the union guys at any cost.
These people make me sick.
Good luck on judgement day.
Spineless bullys hide behind the company.
I'll bet the Attorney General of the state you're in would love to know more about how this QAR program being used to target employees.
A perfect example of how we are in this together. We have to focus on the real scumbags who make these decisions. They are taking care of generations of family members, and screwing yours.
It's Not Legal ! And here's some of the Law suit...... Plaintiff alleges that Defendants conspired with others in Verizon management to engage in a scheme to harass and falsely discipline Verizon technicians in retaliation for a union strike that occurred in 2011. Plaintiff claims he was fired for objecting to and refusing to participate in the scheme. through a disciplinary program identified as Quality Assurance Reviews ("QARs"), which is contained in a collective bargaining agreement ("CBA") between Verizon and Local 827. Defendant further contends that because Plaintiff's CEPA claim is based on objections touching on disciplinary issues and the QAR program. Entire Law suit at......

I wish you lasting happiness and to quote the Vulcan farewell "Live Long &Prosper."
Iwt that is insanity... How is that even legal? All the people on here spouting how the union is the savior, can't/don't they get involved? Unreal... Starting to make sense why all the EWAs I've seen say 6 12- hour days.
Best of luck to you. Good things happen to good people, so you will land on your feet in good shape. Unfortunately there are many managers that are forced to implement the QAR's program, and for those of you who do not know what QAR's is, It is a discipline program designed to falsely accuse employees. It has areas in it that actually integrates the customer under the cloak of quality control to find some deviation in an employees work day. These QAR's investigations have terminated employees for just taking a longer route by GPS to a customers house. It says in the QAR's packet that every minute of there day must be accounted for, including how long a bathroom break can take. In one investigation the employee had to state if he went number 1 or number 2 in a 7 minute deviation of his work day. This is only one example of QAR's. it's has become an absolutely obsessive work environment.
I'm sorry to hear this. Jiffy Lube laying off also?
