After having been at Pepsi for more than twelve years and seen all the time and money wasting bullshit projects that somehow fast-talking and desperate managers promoted, I'm not surprised that someone would have to pay the price. Still, after moving IT from Somers to Purchase and Westchester Avenue in White Plains, there are a multitude of employees who could be let go - not because they aren't knowledgeable or aren't hard working if there's something to put an effort to, but because Pepsi just doesn't need those people. Except for maintaining the data, everything else could be completely outsourced. No further outlandish projects designed to keep under-performing managers on the payroll or AOP plans necessary.

I thought they moved IT from Somers to Mumbai. They will sell off the bottling business again once they finish gutting it. This is a cycle that repeats itself every 10 years or so. The new spun off company will hire people to rebuild everything that Pepsico has let fall apart.
