will hold me over until I get my severance pay, STI, and AirTouch Transitional Benefit. After that, well I hope I find a job. 18 years in IT, 7 years in Customer Service. I left IT when they went to VDSI (the first time). 25 years total, I'm 57 so I have to work another 5 - 7 years. I'll miss the 5 weeks vacation the most. It's been a crazy ride. I'm sure I'll be on here venting more in the future, but for now Brad G. out.

I kind of wonder this too but no way you get last check plus vacation / PTO immediately. You still can take PTO if sick or anything on your last day. I find it weird and confusing someone would say they got all of this on their last check.
Be sure to check your 2015 healthcare savings amount, as Verizon deducted an additional installment in the vacation payout. It's easy enough to check - compare the YTD amount on your last paycheck to the YTD amount on the vacation payout, or you can verify your 2015 HSCA amount on the Benefits Connection Web site. You'll have to call Benefits Connection at (855) 489-2367 in order for a credit to be issued.
I thought our last paycheck would be Jan 15, since there is the 2 week hold back when we started ? So when is week of 12/28 -31 paid out ?
Good Luck and take some time to regroup your thought and plans. Put yourself on a very strict budget. The Severance and STI are taxed heavily. Take advantage of the transition services..the employment world has changed a lot since people our age last looked for a job and not for the better.
