I'm proud of Oxy and how management has been navigating the downturn. Cost cutting initiatives to save jobs and reaching down to find efficiencies. Looking forward to 2016 with a company that I'm proud to work for! Here here!

Funny again how you'd assume I'm a whale who does not do work. I'll have you know, I started out making $40k here and I was happy at the time. I'm still happy now at a slightly higher pay due to a promotion. People who take pride in their work and have trust in their company are usually happy and grateful. People who do not trust the company or do not take pride in their work, BUT CHOOSE to REMAIN with the company always have a lot of misdirected contempt. My advice to you people is to quit your jobs and find something you love to do in a company you can trust to take care of you. Allow your jobs to open to someone else who would find satisfaction to be in your position.

People have been harassed, victimized and persecuted at Oxy until they are forced out - very often with impunity for those responsible. This is common knowledge and plays an integral role in the reputation of Oxy as a company. As I said, if you are oblivious to the well earned reputation of work place bullying you are either an ignorant bigot, or actively partake. Your pride in this reiterates my original observation - you are at the right company for the kind of person you are.
"Contempt" - No observation! This is not the guy that will be let go in 2016. It's easy to have a good outlook if you're a salary employee and make 3 times the pay and do 1/3 the work!!!!
If you go down the admin hallway you see these "satisfied" Oxy people pushing a mouse ALL day. Hard workers!

Laughable. Sounds like the opinion of an ass kisser that stays in their office all day.
Given what I've seen and experienced regarding bigotry and work place persecution at Oxy, your statements indicate that you are either comfortable with this abusive behavior or you actively partake yourself. Congratulations, you are at the right company for the kind of people you are.
I can say the same. Not sure how far we will go into 2016 without drastic changes, but I am pleased we have made it this long as a company during the downturn. Go Oxy!
