Smart and capable people are in huge demand, at Google the term “talent shortage” does not exist, this is one of the new AT&T initiatives to cleanup payroll, Life is too short to work for cretins and reptiles. If You are qualified and responsible there are many opportunities in the job market, unfortunately at AT&T not everyone will see what you bring, Only the people who get you, deserve you, will be the place where you belong

Managers have been stripped of all their authority and their ability to make decisions. They are just a bunch of "yes men". They could lay off half of all these so called managers and save lots of money. It seems all they do is approve timesheets and drive around harrassing employees.
Excellent post. Agree 100%. AT&T loves mediocracy, look at their management. Lying, cheating and screwing people is not a long term successful strategy. Unless AT&T changes, it will be gone in 5-7 years.
