Delta Airlines announced 1.5 billion in profits to 80,000 employees. CEO said our employees make us what we are, wow how refreshing is that. The concept of making employees feel like they are an asset not a liability.

Yes it is @GPJ and how do you know that no other airlines "wanted" these certain planes? There are alot of failing airlines that just can't afford their over expended fleets. and a fiscally sound airline can swoop in and steel them at a great buy. Also Delta has one of the best safety records in the World let alone the country. Sounds like a great CEO that takes care of his company, Wall street and his Employees. He's retiring in May, I would hope he would like to take on Verizon. The Company, Wall Street and the Employees would love to have him.
Is this the same delta CEO that buys old planes that no other airline wants anymore and puts them into the active delta fleet, because of cost?
CEO Richard H. Anderson has always been a stand up guy and knew it's his employees that make the company great. Delta employees enjoy airline industry leading salary and benefits. He makes sure his employees are the top paid, even if it's just a dollar more. He doesn't strip them for greed. and in turn, Delta Airlines is the best all around pick for consumer fliers, according to Airfarewatchdog’s annual rankings. While the other legacy carriers, United and American, continue to struggle at the bottom of the list, Delta rose to the top spot. Verizon has an employee hating CEO, who would rather ship all jobs out of the country if he could for just pure greed. Verizon CEO just gave himself a huge raise for himself and his family on the backs of his employees.
