Yes there is: you are gruntled in that very short period of time when you're still an individual contributor (read "peeon") and you've been given the great news that you're becoming a manager (against all of your own expectations)

Now that 3 posters have all confirmed the same observation at Bellaire Office, HOU150 and 1400 in Houston during the same time period, one can conclude something is coming soon. The police and security contractors are getting acquainted with the layout of the facilities and coordinating a plan to maintain security for an upcoming event. I don't think my thoughts are far-fetched.
They have been at 1400 as well - not sure why.
The only CIP announcement I want to hear is that I still have a job.
