Clarke organization looking to hire around 80 in the field. Whats the end game here? We couldn't sell the wireline, and now we need help? I know what I would tell the company if I was union leadership.
Cwa contract states associates cannot be forced more than 8 or 16 above the 40 depending on location. How does the company get away with forcing them 12 hours+ a day, six days a week. Eventually some of these guys are going to go to a labor attorney. Then they'll have a case against the company for violating "quality of life laws" and their union for "failure to represent." Now I see verizon labor is refusing to acknowledge written medical restrictions from these guys. There is no way I want to be part of that fiasco. This is going from bad to worse here quick. I am not going to be sued for this place, no way! Verizon is acting in bad faith and it looks easy to prove from where I sit. Verizon wants LM's to do the dirty work. What do they expect me to say when an attorney deposes me? Code of Conduct anyone?
I wish this would come to a head already here. Back to my glass of scotch.
