Thread regarding Chesapeake Energy Corp. layoffs

Which CHK assets are NOT embroiled in lawsuits? And how much are they worth? Properties engaged in lawsuits will be difficult to sell.

Buyers are not likely to pay fair value for properties involved in lawsuits. CEO has said there would be no fire sales. Then...what assets are not involved in lawsuits and can be sold at fair value? Anyone have any ideas?

That was me posting. I am not a lawyer. A lawyer can simply read the news and read the filings or talk to industry contacts...

There are so many lawsuits that have not even been filed yet. Especially in Oklahoma. Only Beaver County, Oklahoma, has had the class action lawsuit which can be de ja vue all over again and again and again for CHK in every County they operate in the State of Oklahoma. It's enormous what CHK has done to the ORRI and RI in taking out deductions CHK was not entitled to. Even if they CHK was entitled to some deductions theywere not entitled to 25-35%. And the settlement in Beaver County... CHK suspended all of that money and has not paid that money out. Only 3rd parties where CHK sold wells to other companies have paid out on the Beaver Co. Class Action suit.
