5% cuts are not big enough for people to post? There are tens of thousands of posts at other Oil and Gas companies here

We still do not know how things will play out - our cuts are also much smaller. You have companies like Halliburton who had to cut tens of thousands of people, in our case it's not that bad and Gas is in a better shape than Oil now. But at the same time you had companies like Chesapeake who were cutting 1000s of jobs in 2013 and 2014 as prices dropped. They just had a major cut back in September, I think they laid off 1000 people.
Yeah, I was following ConocoPhillips and Chevron here, they have more people and there are thousands of posts there. They have been having cuts since Dec/Jan so they had more time to discuss the issues. I hope this is over very quickly for us
