I volunteered for the voluntary lay off but I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do? There aren't any calls coming in and I've already called my students dozens of times. I also heard there was a party next week macayos but the rumors here are so crazy I don't know what to believe anymore.

You need a snack cart? In all my years at the ACC we didn't have a snack cart unless it was for frog grams or some special celebration. And you are a damned adult bring your own food. Of course you still have to work even if you have no calls to make or transfers... You are getting PAID! It's hiring people like ones here that comment asinine shit that was the fall of the ACCESS. I am happy to be in a different department now however I loved all I learned there. My career progression, working on developing my skill sets, competencies, resume, behavioral based questions... And so much more. In the end what you take from there is equal to what you have. Sounds like a bunch of whiners who hates thier job and stayed bc they made friends and liked hot coco and tea and to you that was something FREE and fancy... Get over yourself, grow up and work like you want a job and cAreer.

I quit working a week ago and did not volunteer. Just had a one on one everything is great. will start working next week. Had a wee little working vacation.
Word is not everyone who submitted voluntary severance will get it. Read the fine print. All that talk about verant? They will be firing people out of adherence and save themselves the severance money. Be careful.
