489, managers in my office do not have to work any longer. But they are coming in on Monday. Maybe just to pack their desks up and get personal belongings.
If you speak up you jeopardize your 'package' ---- Supposedly you just look for another job in the 'company' ----- but typically the time that it takes to apply/job closes posting/ interview is longer than the time you have left as an employee (so you end up gone, by design)
Hubby isn't a manager. I guess we will find out Monday. I'm sure it will all be very civilized.
Of course managers who are riff'd are coming in on Monday, and for the next 4 weeks (including Monday)

Next RIF is on 11/19
It's kind of odd for the Rifd. Does my spouse go in and sit at his desk to do the things asked and use the services offered? He said something about not being able to access anything from home. Seems so awkward. Urg, I hope he doesn't have to talk to the people overseas that took his job. Oh well, nothing can be worse than the tension of waiting for that call last week. I can't believe the waiting isn't over for some. I guess we were always waiting for the call, it was pretty clear the company wasn't into giving out gold watches. I still haven't seen the video everyone is talking about, but it sounds insulting.
We were told that we would know what's going to happen with our office by next Fri. Turns out to be Fri 13th :-0
Not sure but after our managers were rif'd on Thur we were told no further updates but maybe there will be something to report on Monday. Then yesterday found out the 2 rif'd mgrs will be coming in Monday. Maybe it's just to gather their belongings. It's ridiculous that we need to be detectives, scrutinizing and analyzing every word management utters.
Nothing will happen next week.
Wait till the 15th till round 2.
