What is the likelihood of Citrix Systems layoffs in Fort Lauderdale in 2016? Please let me know if you have any information.

Depends. If you are looking for stability (and/or have dependents) absolutely not. If you are looking to make money, good benefits, employer name recognition and, if you are lucky enough to land on the right team, to do some cool sh1t, KNOWING (AND PLANNING) FULL WELL this might be temporary, go ahead. In this industry you need to be nimble and know how to take risks and recover from them.
Definitely not!
I got an offer in Citrix. I will most probably join on 2016. Is it safe?
So who will go? Who will be included in the 20%, maybe 30% that I've heard will be laid off. Tenure shouldn't equate to "keeping your job." There are hard working people at Citrix, that doesn't include many top level managers. Many managers wear a badge that reads "I've been working at Citrix for 10, 14, 19 Etc. Years." ... AND? What value, new ideas, or solutions are you bringing TODAY NOT 19 years ago.
I see top level managers frantic and unsure if they will be on the chopping block. Managers who rearly comes in to the office are now there bright and shine and actually working.
But nonthelese, it's unfortunate so many people will be out of work. What's more unfortunate is the employees who should be "let go" will get to keep their job. Sometimes it's not what you know but who you know. SMH.
Hmmm
It was nuked because it turned into a pointless H1B pro/con rant. Off topic and meaningless.
Wake up people - do you not see the approaching avalanche if rumours are true? 11 days and counting.....
Happy Holidays.
Love,
Elliott Management
Yeah, someone with a lot of moolah got this website to nuke a thread. My suspicion is that the thread contained internal (insider) information that could not legally broadcast (or the Citrix legal kingpins showed a threat of using the legal hammer, and this site's operators were like "errr, I ain't touching this shit with a 100 yard pole stick".)
whoa- never saw an entire thread get nuked before.......... someone must have a lot of pull.
pretty much guaranteed at this point :(
I hear Elliott goes really cheap on severance too...
