Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Does the public know whats actually happening at this out of control company

We should shed some light on this un-American conglomerate, indentured servitude, unfounded accusations leading to terminations, severe public trust issues, out n out ripping the customers off, how could this company still be in business their products are inferior cost is to high customer service is now at an absolute minimum. I think every message board should be swamped with our stories of mistreatment from this company.Consumers are unaware of the abuse lets tell the story, see how they like the curtain getting pulled back.

I agree. The public is unaware of how Verizon/Verizon Wireless unfairly fires Employees then write up false statements about those employees to back up their claims after the Employee has been fired. Those same Employees will have good performance reviews etc. Teammates of those fired time and time again will confirm that certain people in Management will falsify the information afterwards as a justification. The Employees seem to have no recourse in these situations. In so many cases the Management team hire their unqualified friends and expect the qualified teammates to do twice the work for the same pay. Reporting any of it to HR will just make the situation worse because HR at the company is not there for the Employee and will side with Management almost in every instance. I known so many people who have gone to HR even with witnesses and it was to no avail.

With all that said above - each year Verizon/Verizon Wireless boasts that they have won an award for the "best place to work". What they don't say is the award isn't for the entire company just for one city within the company that won the award. The Employee ratings are so low in so many places that they skip right over those places and speak only of the one city where the award was won and advertise it as if the entire company won that award across the board in all areas.

Un-American, yes. The number of H1B's and L1's doing IT in the Warren, NJ and Alpharetta, GA offices is outrageous. By hiring so many foreign contractors, VZW is easily one of the most Un-American companies in this country. They should be ashamed, but they are not. They have no shame.
