Thread regarding University of Phoenix layoffs

College of Health Professions is getting shady on their year end reviews.

Lots of ERs in healthcare are receiving "needs improvement" grades on their year end reviews. Directors are telling managers to be harsh on reviews to give them an out to lay people off on 11/19 if they get more request than they need. If you weren't planning on taking the package and received a poor review, the writing may be on the wall for you, and you might want to reconsider.

Just curious, how many people are receiving needs improvement reviews? Reply if you got one. Ryan, Brad and Kevin are doing the company's dirty work by ensuring there are poor reviews out there if they need them. I've lost respect for all of them.

All of this may, or may not be true. The Royals, however, are World Series Champs. That is my rock and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? Not you idiots, that's for sure. Get a life.

Apple should acquire UOP for $1 billion and offer low cost accredited classes via their "iTunes U."

223, while it may be comforting to you to think that only poor performers are leaving it's not the case. As a recognized top performer for several years I see the writing on the wall and that's one of several reasons that I'm leaving. Nevertheless, I wish those that remain the best. It's going to be rough with all of that extra workload alone...

Good luck to those staying behind. You may have the right mindset and will to perform but understand that no-one cares. This place will not shut down but the ER position as we know it will dwindle to almost nothing. Tamara speaks about affecting the ER position the least amount possible? This means there are many more changes coming for you. Collect those checks for as long as you can and strap on to your seats because it's definitely going to be a bumpy ride.

Not all managers are doing this; as someone who wants to be here, I'm glad those not performing are leaving or at least have the option to. Us top performers appreciate the honesty some managers give, I'm glad some of these managers have to be demoted too. Worthless *'s

Do yourself a favor and take it as an opportunity to leave voluntarily and go somewhere where you'll be happy. Seriously, if you suck, you most likely know it. Take some ownership and quit whining like a little bitch...

Question to all in the Health Professions sector, would you/do you really want to stay? Let's look at this with our critical thinking hat's on folks. This ship is still floating, but taking on water from the Oct. 22 iceberg. Can you for-see what will happen in 90-120 days? My gut is telling me this is going from bad to very bad. I have rec'd 20 QC calls in the last 7 days. 14 hangups, 4 that were already attending elsewhere, and 2 that went to AW. Never ever seen it this bad. Poor upper management + awful QC calls = lots of vacant buildings on Elwood Street coming next year.

My manager did this last year. The two newer team members got overall needs improvement even though we had led the team much of the time, conversions were good, activity good, etc. my friend led the team in most things yet we were the only ones on our team of veterans to get a needs improvement overall review and we were the only ones laid off from our team aside from a brand new person. We knew what she was doing when she wrote our reviews I even asked her point blank if she was grooming is to be fired. Denials all around and then another useless coaching.

But it's ok, it got me to a better school and a better management team.

Their doing dirty work for sure. Many who have never received a "needs improvement" are now getting one. What a coinsidence it's happening when they need to cut people. A good lawyer will be happy to take a look. Do it before you take that severance though. If Peter Sperling can cash out on $22 mil this quarter, I'm sure a few employees wouldn't mind cashing in on a few themselves.
