What happened at Warren, Dublin and other IT offfices? Are the H1B's being sent packing?

There won't be anymore H1B's because of VDSI, they won't have to bring them here and pay them a competitive wage. Just keep them there and pay them $1500 a month. We were told that by our new VP.
H1B's exist because of the 'shortage' of qualified workers. There are a lot more qualified American workers to fill the shortage after this layoff. Send the H1B's back to the third world.
Gotta love Warren, been there for 10+ years and I'm expecting this is my last based on whats happening. There's an executive that's been in the building for a few years, started as a manager. Had a pretty young girl working for him starting as a contractor, then she was hired and quickly rose through the ranks on his team. He was made AD and surprise, surprise she was named as his replacement. They're both married but it turns out they were messing around on the side. Someone internally found out and reported them to HR. Instead of firing the two POS's for violating I don't know how many internal policies they just moved him to a different department. Now he's being held up as the Indian Rock Star of the building and her department is apparently the future of Verizon. They'll still have jobs at the end of this, but hard working loyal people with families and morals will get screwed.
India is one of the most corrupt mud holes in the world and we have Indian execs sending jobs back to India? Makes me wonder what their stake is over there?
There are less and less Americans in Verizon everyday. There should be NO H1Bs. It is all a scam.
Why are you so hostile to H1Bs - they work the hardest, I was born and raised here but those guys come and work their asses off to survive
