Thread regarding Noble Energy Inc. layoffs

Stop blaming the market downturn for management mistakes.

We never heard the executives credit past Noble "successes" on market upticks, stop blaming the market now for your failures. Management gets paid big bucks to think ahead and plan for a variable market. Clearly they didn't do their jobs. Stop making excuses and take responsibility for your failures. The only people laid off should be the execs.

Canonsburg will lose at least 20% if not more.

I think a lot of us in Canonsburg are in for a BIG surprise, c/o Houston Mgmt, and there won't be any kisses after they are done with us!

Less than a week after a visit from 'Donnie's Boy' (another former hitman of the DJ Mafia), and the announcement comes? Why, how can this be?! Were those slides and comments for our benefit, or was that a practice session for the next Investors' presentation??

Yeah, we all drank the Koolaid here-believed that, in the end, LEADERSHIP knew what they were doing-spending money on a new building, overhiring in an area that never did have enough PUDs for three years of aggressive drilling...our Leaders must've used a 'Magic 8 Ball' for a Crystal Ball!

Yeah, bend over, MBU, and pucker up!

No need to worry I heard Initech is hiring landmans and land womens along with drilling engineers...just make sure you brush up on your TPS reports!

Won't happen in Canonsburg. Got rid of at least two managers in April. Take your support staff out to lunch. They won't be there much longer.

Don't listen to managers on who to let go. Company needs to dump a bunch of managers in Canonsburg. Few really work. Some will never work and on ego trip.

Snuff dippers. No shows. Stock traders. All day smokers. Talkers. Fantasy football. Get rid of these first.

5 managers for less than 50 people in Canonsburg Land. Two need to be gone. Before dumping workers, Noble should clean up management which is causing most of the problems.

yet another management mistake is the out of time IPO for a Noble MLP. MLP's at this time are nothing but expensive financing. fuelfix article is here: http://fuelfix.com/blog/2015/10/22/noble-files-for-midstream-ipo/ .

"Noble’s offering . . . comes after midstream stocks have fallen more than 20 percent so far in 2015. The markets have fallen so far that many midstream companies, such as Houston pipeline giant Kinder Morgan, have sworn off selling stock to raise money, saying offering shares for prices this low isn’t worth it in the long run.

"Noble Energy declined to comment on the IPO."

They hadno answers to a downturn except to lay people off. It's almost as if a downturn never even occurred to them! They have done irreparable damage to the Noble Energy brand. Their reputation as s good place to work and image in the oil and gas sector. These blunders have long lasting ramifications to which Noble may never recover.
