No Traction On Estimates

The bizarre part of the AT&T story is that EPS estimates for '16 are still relatively flat with this year. One of the big points of the merger were the $2.5 billion in synergies that analysts forecast to easily get the wireless provider to an EPS of $3.00. The Q3 results though provided a rather large boost to expectations due to the profitable survival of the domestic wireless pricing war from the limited customer churn.

Oddly though, the average analyst EPS estimate for next year is only $2.82 for a meager 4.4% gain. AT&T has already made content deals to reduce costs and now has union approval for the one truck roll for hooking up services. Along with typical reduced operating costs from eliminating duplicate work, the company is on path for considerable synergies in '16.

They've been rebranding thousands of non-At&t owned dealer stores for the past two years, I wonder how this is going to affect property managers and retail employees. The fix is in I'm afraid, and loyal employees are the useful idiots. The new leadership is destroying the very fabric of At&t profitability with their misguided transformation 2020 culture revolution fantasy. Sell your stocks now!!!!

This plan is already in the works. There's quite a few "rumors" that I've heard from credible upper management that suggest this will happen by end of 1Q2016. That all COR stores will be either closed or converted to "authorized retailer" locations. ATT is going in to the business of selling services not products.
