Thread regarding BP PLC layoffs

Looks like Layoffs are in full swing again - and let a distraught person jump

BP laid off an employee and let them leave in a clearly unstable condition today. That person jumped from the overpass at I-10/Barker Cypress today. They've managed to cover it up in the media but it needs to be acknowledged.

That guy did NOT work for BP or any other oil company. Ugly rumors! There was a video online of this guy jumping. So sad for anyone to feel they need to do that, but don't start rumors about someone jumping that was laid off from BP. And just for the record, the other man that jumped from the 99 flyway several months back was not an O&G employee either. He worked for Katy ISD.

It was a white male, so it doesn't matter.

I read about this. The guy died on the way to the hospital.

I've seen that too. Management (all levels) doesn't seem to care about anyone but themselves. They only make accommodations for employees being terminated that are required by law.

If people get loud or seem unstable they are escorted out the building by security. After that no one cares.

The guy apparently survived. There are better ways to off yourself.
