Never had issues in my group, 200 people, all creeds, all religions, never had problems. Do not try to pin this on VZ
The one thing I can say for certain, Verizon is just about as diverse as a company can get. On a day to day basis, I work with more peoples of different cultures and backgrounds, fully explaining it remains beyond my capabilities as a writer. Any claim that Verizon made any decision based upon race is baseless. Had that person said "because I'm American," I still seriously doubt it.
I think he is/was a hourly paid Union member Supervisor , not a Manager
The writer had me right up until he said "because I’m black". That's all I needed to read.
