Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Growth

The numbers are out. Internet of Things added half a Billion in revenue, will continue to grow. Subscribers grow. Wireline is hosed. I do not see issues here, all things look very promising. Content monetization is kicking in, thats very promising. To all of you doomsayers, I say go away

I suspect IoT revenues will be up by 300% to 600% by the end of 2016.

IoT will be the thing for us. Super high margins too. We are hiring there

Wireline is in the middle of transition, down just a few points, but offset by wireless. People are changing their viewing habits, not signing up for 200 channel packages, and going for the pay for what you watch options, but all those options require fast internet which is why that segment is ramping up and gaining market share.

What makes you think that Wire is hosed? Nothing in the results indicates that Wire has problems. I think most of you on the Wireless side just assume that Wire makes no money, which is pretty much wrong
