I strongly urge you Chevron folks to create awareness around this "www.thelayoff.com/chevron" forum / site. Make it public, encourage your folks to participate and bring in objective and yet unfiltered feedback. You will be surprised. So much good energy in this company, yet unleashed energy thanks to our incompetent management. I am not asking to fix the problem, but rather make it visible make it real. Hopefully some smart leaders will read it. Manage and influence upwards, be bold, and be unfiltered. I done my part and I chose to move on regardless if I have a job after this ROM or not. Most likely not. I am the manager who speaks his mind and don't fit in. I never really fit in and that's OK> Chevron never fit in with me but I am in control of my own destiny. Well OP, that was an honorable effort, but so far, you got nothing but people who would rather be part of the problem than the solution.

In this company is impossible to say, you screwed up, you suck at what you do, shape up and here are some ideas how to get it better next time. I effing need a translator to translate from what the reality is and the Chevron gay lingo. ABSURDITY at its best. I am gonna start on an iPhone app pretty soon to translate the non-sense going on here. That will be my next career after I get canned from this useless place.

PC liberalism at Chevron is just a facade for mangers covering their rectums. Did you ever read any followup on the contractor who was killed in the Pennsylvania explosion? What was the root cause? Any lesson learned? Not so much. The story of the PGPA coupons for a free pizza that were delivered door to door in the neighborhoods near the explosion was well publisized.
