Thread regarding JPMorgan Chase & Co. layoffs

Laid Off in May

I too was laid off at the end of May after almost 10 years at the bank, the benefits were great, the work environment was not. There basically is no incentive to take a supervisor position at the company because it puts a target on your back, and you are the first to go. I am much happier now and in a different industry doing the same thing, ironically almost making as much as I did as a supervisor doing what my employees were doing at my job at Chase. And a whole lot less stress because I dont have management with impossible expectations. My best advice is to use the mullin and associates, because they truly helped a ton with my resume and job search.

Supposedly.

Why would you see Supervising as a safe heaven? Upper management, eventually, can be a bit safer given you have the right friends. But supervising? Supervisors are only tasked with the chore of training people becoming a drone.
