Test sets purchased during the Reagan administration, no software upgrades and plug in equipment, one tech responsible for several c.o.'s, empty supply cabinets- devoid of tools, pencils, toilet paper- even overwhelming infestations of roaches due to once a month cleaning schedules, managers educated in telephony through experience have retired, draconian work rules.... To my brothers and sisters in Kansas and everywhere, hang in there and take the money till it's over. Should be soon.
How will this one be scrutinized? Verizon is in the process of selling off the last part they owned to frontier. Can Verizon be punished when its one step away of getting rid of their assets in California? Not really, that shows the terminal incompetence at the PSC., also waited for the ATT merger to be completed to sart such investigation ludicrous.
The California Public Utilities Commission has decided to launch an investigation into both Verizon, after been acquired by Frontier, and AT&T, after the merger with DTV, lclaiming both networks failed to consistently provide quality service to their customers. What's more, the CAPUC is insisting that the carriers pay for the investigation themselves. The investigations were first proposed back in the winter of 2010 after storms repeatedly knocked out services to customers. In 2011, the commission found that neither network was restoring services after outages within prescribed (and standardized) time limits. By 2013, the PUC had decided a "study of carrier network infrastructure, facilities, policies, and practices" was necessary and culminated at the end of last month after the PUC rejected Verizon and AT&T's complaints of financial responsibility.
I've heard many, many, many bad things about a lot of the Missouri offices. I'm sorry to hear the Kansas offices are bad, too.
