You know, I just skim by a lot of the commentary. I just need to read the first few words in a response or even glance at the alias of some of the posters on this site... and just dismiss them completely and go onto the next comment. Surely there are some folks who think it's funny, but what do you get in return, as nobody knows who you really are. Why not spend some time trying to leave something meaningful behind for others to read. If you don't have the mental strength to contribute something helpful, whether it's a positive or negative experience, then just read and learn. Don't bother with leaving your dibble behind, if only for your own self respect.

I'm thinking that many people posting on this board aren't really Chevron employees. Maybe there's a few of you who are. But the atrocious language, spelling and grammar takes away from anyone taking the posts seriously. If you are Chevron employees or contractors, please express yourselves openly and honestly here, but take your time to make it count. This board is open to anyone to post their thoughts anonymously. It's not often we get a chance to do so, as many places are monitored. So appreciate this forum to say what you need to get off your chest, but do so constructively. This way, you can hopefully make a change, even if it's a change in the mind of the readers. Thanks. - The OP.
I will use a stronger word. CUNTS. I have never in my life have seen the nerd herd pretend to be tough guys. This is a business and the whole CUNT culture is quite bazaar. These guys are the nerds that got wedgies in highscool. I will be surprised in this environment that you see CUNTS get smacked in the mouth. People are done with this villainy culture.

The "Way Of The Weasel", my friend,... the way of the weasel. Not saying Chevron's loaded with more weasels than any other outfit, but will say I've never witnessed as MANY weasels in any of the other (four) energy companies I've worked in, as I have in Chevron. To ME, Chevron has basically "de-nutted" the male segment of it's workforce via it's incessant beating of the Diversity drum. I know of no one I work with whom I believe to be overtly racist, misogynistic, homophobic, or otherwise inclined to be hostile towards anyone else based SOLELY upon their race, sexual orientation, gender, etc. Yet,... Management and HR have allowed, maybe intentionally (I've wondered), for these differences between people to attract more attention, increasingly become the basis for complaints of alleged hostility, discrimination, or any other perceived "mis-treatment" that comes down the pike, to the point that the company seems incapable of assessing "real" contribution, on an individual basis, without these factors coming into play. The result: A seemingly arbitrary, highly subjective, cowardly and non-confrontational pall has settled upon the entire enterprise. Oddly enough, we're watching those same methods being employed, these days, throughout our Federal Government, and unless you're blind or simply don't care, it should be obvious that it leads to an Alice In Wonderland, almost surrealistic cesspool of mealy-mouth platitudes and disjointed results. Voila! I GIVE YOU,... THE CHEVRON OF TODAY.
True. I am not owed a thing is this life. I understand that but I do expect not to get physical threats at work, retaliated against when you question simple things such as engineering specs, not having a competent boss, not having a clue what the overall strategy is or was. This is in 4 of my 5 years at Chevron. I stayed, thinking surely it will get better and as the posts on this board portray it only gets worse. I am now targeted because of expenses. I do not have expenses. Have not travelled in a year. But someone made the accusations(because I called out fatal flaws in the engineering specs on a major project that literally sunk, so I am a threat) and it won't go away. After months of saying, let's look at my expenses. Oh there are no expenses. It wears you down that month after month the same deal with expenses that the current person looking at the situation says ok no problem. Month later another call and inquiry. I am owed human decency.
