Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Jacobs family supports Hillary Clinton and Obama while thousands get pink slips

Hillary C visited the home of Irwin Jacobs in August 2014, a month before the big layoffs, and Obama paid a visit in May 2014. The Jacobs family are big supporters of Democrats, the party that is allegedly for the common man. The Democrats have lost their way, they are now beholden to big corporate cash more than the Republicans. America is going to split between real socialists, the crony capitalists Republocrats, and the real free market capitalists. The Jacobs family like many Democrats are members of the greedy international jet set. They lately care more about the well being of Israeli citizens than they do Christian Americans. Qualcomm donates money to teach Chinese teenagers about computers, supporting that Godless Communist nation, which is committing genocide on the peaceful Tibetans. This is disgusting. The concentration of cash and influence in the hands of greedy elites who change loyalties when the wind is disturbing. There was once a land where the common people got sick of ostentatious wealth and greed, foreign influence, and concentration of power and that was Cambodia in 1975. Pol Pot, loved by common Cambodians, wiped out 1.5 million people of 7 million. That is ultimately what happens when a society gets corrupt and spreads wealth so unevenly and leaders are viewed as outsiders (does anyone think Obama is a real American?). We need to put Americans first and get back to Christian ideals, and listening to the Oak Ridge boys doesn't hurt.

Democrats haven't lost their way; they've just gone back to their roots. Democrats were the original slave owners in the South.

We should unionize. Liberals like the Jacobs love unions.

I think Osama may go down as worst president in past 40 years. Dems aren't looking out for little guy, they're out to inflate the size of the government.

Both parties are in the pocket of big corporations. They make sure politicians provide them with cheap labor and perpetuate the myth of a shortage of stem professionals in the US. Oh but heaven forbid if a politician speaks of limiting the influence of big money because he/she gets labeled as socialist and un-american.

@Anonymous177921 Yeah you are right. Its a shame Clinton and Obama didn't sit for enough votes in anything of substance for you to find out where they really stand.

H1B quotas are set by US congress, not Hilary. Congress (BOTH Senate and HOUSE) is controlled by Republicans.

There's a huge amount of money wasted on invading Iraq which did not have nuclear weapons.

Bush and his cabinet lied to America when they said there was yellow cake nuke materials and centrifuges.

He then had Benjamin Netanyahu (Prime min of Israel) come and lie to congress that his spies knew there were nukes being made in Iraq.

I never vote for a party that lies like that for war profits and kills USA soldiers.

Why would anybody in their right mind vote for D or R this time around? We've seen the results that they deliver in the past 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 years already. Vote for the independent or a 3rd party candidate this time around. That will be the best you can do for this country at this time!

@Anonymous177841, voters aren't angry. they still, and will always passively vote for one of two candidates they are spoon fed, based on some emotional wedge issues. voters are sheep and democracy is a failed experiment. One day it's W, next it's O, now it's Bernie. The cult of personality. Now please plug me back into CNN so I know which of McCain's vetted moderates need to be armed, and what terrorist bogeymen I need to be fearful of over the next 4-8 months.

Why would people that are supposed to be so smart support this?............

“The problem is, is that the way Bush has done it over the last eight years is to take out a credit card from the Bank of China in the name of our children, driving up our national debt from $5 trillion dollars for the first 42 presidents — number 43 added $4 trillion dollars by his lonesome, so that we now have over $9 trillion dollars of debt that we are going to have to pay back — $30,000 for every man, woman and child. That’s irresponsible. It’s unpatriotic.” -Senator Obama, (DEBT IS NOW 18 TRILLION. PRESIDENT OBAMA DOUBLED IT!!!!!!)

That dear people, is an economic nuclear time bomb in the making that can level our fiat currency.

What's the difference between say Jeb Bush and Hillary Clinton? Not much; they are both influenced/financed by special interests like Q money.

Money corrupts anyone being caught up in Dems vs Reps talk is an idiot. Neither party represents you, voters aren't just angry at the powers that be they are angry at the fact that instead of politicians and government being concerned about the general welfare they are concerned about the special interest welfare. And the special interest is who keeps us talking about side issues like gender pay equity and abortion etc. If we follow the general rule that all are equal and should be treated so under the law you get rid of the politically correct and we would be in the common sense territory. But that won't happen as we can't get a real sincere about defending and honoring the constitution candidate in either side.

Republicans are at least transparent about trying to screw over the little guy. Democrats are insidious little snakes siphoning up corp donations, and Peacemongering thru the middle East. Godless Anarchy is the way!

The republican plan to cut taxes on the super rich (eliminate the tax on estates more than $10.6 million if married) will not benefit anybody at Q except 20 executives. Original poster is an idiot. Irwin is retired and donating his money to charity.
