Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

To the "leaders" who obeyed

One thing that mus not be forgotten is the fact that even if mr mackay and the other guy were to have giving the order if the people from the top all the way to the bottom would say NO, this malicious chain reaction would not happen. Sadly, morality is out the door and people are in extreme levels of fear. a conscious individual would not have obeyed such whim's of psychopaths . This includes STL's and TLs. Nazi Germany DOESN'T HAPPEN unless the majority of people were is such fearful levels of consciousness ,moral decay to take any proper morally superior action. You are the ones who now inherited the majority of the karmic consequences not the psychopaths that barked out the order and just nice sounding words like "growth" and efficiency" to lure you in . Why? BECAUSE YOU TOOK THE ACTION. you fired these people just because you were ordered to . not because they harmed someone or defrauded someone or stole from someone. By being an order follower that by definition makes you an immoral person no matter how you justify it. such morale weakness that I've seen and heard from the so called "leadership" ... the reason why you're "leaders" in this inverted society is because you are the most subservient, docile and passive minds in the lot. and you just follow the whim's of your owners. if this country continues on its trace it will be harvested soon. Order followers are cowards and unconscious minds which are not conducive to a free society. Thats the bottom line and thats the TRUTH!

Anon, your not gonna see that from the leadership. The original poster hit it on the nail. these people don't care. you should read some of the post about the store team leaders and team leaders reaction to all of this, a lot of them are acting like if nothing happen or straight up lying to team members. and this patter is coming from observations of several stores not just one. further proving the posters wisdom on why they were picked as leaders. but we can still hope there is some humanity left in their hearts right. Damn the more i re read the implications of this posted the more i see its accurate. :( best wishes

To our leaders! You started some great foundations. WPF ( Whole Planet Foundation) , WKF ( Whole Kids Foundation) why not start WUF ( Whole Unemployed Foundation) , after all you supposedly CARE about Team Member happiness, Don't you??? By the way. lets not forget TMEF (Team Member Emergency Fund) after all many of whom may need this now. But, off-course it's too late as you just closed the doors! Now what happens to all those contributions? Who knows?

To Anonymous171353 and anyone who agrees , there's the problem you don't see how its genocide. you throw people out without making the same amount of money or no money and now the they are competing with the unemployment not just from whole foods but from everywhere else you see people being laid off, making it a dog eat dog world which is not human nature its pushed on us.. its a form of soft kill. just like selling organic food at higher cost. only allowing certain income brackets that can afford food with no poisons in them while the rest develop cancer , obesity, and hundred of other permutations of a poor diet due to high cost of nutritional food. in regards to your "justification" of these WRONG acts saying they are "human" too. again, if you are dominated by fear then the higher ups can make you do anything just to "feed your family" and you'll justify , genocide, homicide whatever it may be with that mindset you have. A morally superior person would have said NO. that is the word of our power to refuse. Even if that means losing YOUR JOB. you can take the glory of doing not what is expected of you via coercion (i.e. getting fiered for not obeying) but of moral superiority via a deliberate act of consciousness and free will. Total present moment awareness.

This seems to be the most honest post I've seen from a TL... as a TL myself... we knew nothing, and are scared for our jobs too.

Your leaders are also human, with bills to pay and families to support.

It's NOT 1500! Do the math. Average 10 per store (420 stores)? 10 x 420 - 4200 Get real! It's at the least 4000 not 1500!

Didn't your STL's handout kool aid at your last store meeting? You where supposed to drink it and not question their 200k salaries. Damn this incompetence. Let's fire more 15.00 an hour to save our customers money and lower prices. Yes I can say that with a straight face. Thank you WR

This gets the award for the dumbest comment I've seen so far in this forum. The team leaders and store leaders aren't society leaders they're business leaders. And laying off some people is not genocide. Grow up and get over it. They fired people at regional a few years ago and nobody was crying about it. Walmart is firing people and no one is calling them Nazis. You little whiny babies are going to have a rude awakening when you leave the whole foods bubble and get back to the real world

It is all about money. Store leaders make between $150,000 and $200,000 a year. ASTLs make $80,000 to $120,000. Even if they disagree no one is speaking up for fear that they will lose their job and the money they are use to making. It is a long slide to the bottom with no one in the middle saying "I think this is a bad idea".

I'm in the dfdubb and you know they're everywhere here lol. I'm also boycotting them. Can't support what they've done or the other cuts coming. Therefore they don't get my money and I spent a lot of it there

fair enough. but study and re read the information and implications that the poster used. the poster was deliberate in the words usage and the examples (nazi germany). understanding the bigger picture and tapestry . if people are in fear then they are perfect to be governed and controlled. a symptom of fear is obedience. a symptom of fear is the abnegation of the Self. a symptom of fear is the failure to live in true present moment awareness. Anarchy said it brilliantly . One must ask "is the current action that im taking right or wrong." that's true present moment awareness. plus it also implies the one must have discernment and come to recognize for himself what right and wrong is. not by what the socially enforces on him/her. Meditate on that. best of luck to all that read this.

Real shitty of them. Honestly it's more their loss than mine. I've even had guest contact me and tell me how upset they are

oh no...SW ,

It is basically to cheer up and I am not broken at all. It is just sad that this one company bit the dust. I do feel sorry and my selected prayers go out to those 1,500 team members. They need such.

Dear SW ,

I don't ignore things or feelings . If they do not pertain to my lifestyle. why bother ?yes, indeed . I do not work for such company anymore but I care for the ones I have worked and had a couple of beers with.

I find it very sad when an iconic American company has gone that low against their own folks who worked so hard.

I am here to voice something:it is over . Get what is due to you and move on.

I will always despise and boycott this company who destroyed this fun cult .

your filtration is base on a somnambulist state of not looking at what actually is occurring. if you ignore the dark or "negative" you can not heal and will be fragmented. interesting how the individual name anarchy's points have been virtually ignored. anarchy is correct

well I like reading about it. I am now an outsider and still a believer of cheering up and being honest and straight forward. I was well brought up by the very best citizens . I have not attacked anyone .This is a website open to discussions and opinions . I may disagree with some and totally agree with others . I don't see any problem with that.
