What a joke The Management lies and good ole boys club! Wonder if X and Y will still have a job when Amazon takes over! Hope they fire Amy and Marci they have everyone afraid of everything. Using intimidation on Team members. I'm so sick of them and afraid of them. Unhealthy job work place with unhealthy items sold as healthy!

Sp leadership is one messed up group. Rp is an ego-maniac busy openly flirting and most likely screwing the marketing Ec. Vp of purchasing/marketing is the rudest, most unprofessional person I know who retaliates and bullies against team members and demands the word supplier be used when she herself keeps saying vendor. Vp has a puppet Ec who follows her every move and can't take his own stance and speak up. Tms Ec, by herself, approved a $4000 team member emergency check for her favorite coordinator because she broke up with her boyfriend. Ec of construction has horrible follow through and makes really poor decisions. Ec described earlier is right on- if he likes you you're okay, if he doesn't like you you're screwed. That seems to be the consistent theme and it shows in many of the Stls who are running the stores. Stls who are liked are promoted and or are placed in advantageous positions. In order to be liked, you need to be aggressive, number driven and a puppet. Sad times.

There is nothing wrong with cooking food at or near its expiration date and serving hot. Why waste perfectly good food? Read a little on food code before you spout some 'insider' knowledge that's utter bollocks.

Whole foods uses expeired dairy and eggs from the shelf and uses them in the hot bar !! Sometimes claiming organic! Do not support! Tell friends and family ! Spoilage = hot bar food

Team members are to unite across all regions and call out the day before thanksgiving !! Let's show them the power of team members !! They letpeople go and expect the rest to do the extra work load ...let's hurt them where they will feel it . Maybe they can come in to help customers that day . Countless holidays teambers have sacrificed and for what?... Spread the word!!!!!!

The SoPac region is a joke! From the top down. Patrick Bradley has been doing Marci Frumkin for years. The STL at the new downtown location was "demoted" to that position for getting drunk at a store AND he's a cocaine-binger. The region has a "good-ol' boy" problem and until they're gone, they won't be able to compete with the other natural food stores and the "organics" being sold at conventional stores for much less... They're too busy partying and chasing women! There are tons more deep dark secrets being held tight by Robin Graf... talk about job security.

Just sent a new wage guideline to the STLs. Now the JD is moved to 12 months, instead of 6, the wage increase is 3 - 5% and if 5% the cap on a wage increase is $2 (for exemplary performance). Only new hires will get a 6 month JD.

at Vision Day regional leadership made so many promises they will never keep. to any team memebrs reading. did you know that we rented out Knotts Berry Farm for Vision Day? we were only allowed to enter after 6pm but we had it to only us. the auditoium rented for the actual meeting and the renting of the grounds for the supplier fest had to have cost an arm and a leg too. the supplier fest was mandatory for most of us. there was very little shade, a big sun, and over 100 dgrees. vendors had to pay to be there. most were really upset. inadequate shade for them as well, and they had a hard time loading in their equipment. also from what i've heard they were more or less bullied to be there and the cost was crazy for them. don't we have a core value about that? we were told to let you know you could all get $2 raises a year. we told you. we were supposed to pump you up with that news. they didn't follow through. the ecs said how much they appreciate us, but don't say so when they walk the store. instead they criticise small details that are missing, while we skip our breaks and bust our butts to simply keep the shelves full. they said no more rushing to pull the store together fr walks, yet they complain if they come unannounced during our busiest hours and we don't look perfect. we also still have to run around and bring in extra labor if we know they are coming, because our stls know that even though they said their expectations are going to be less they are still the same. they showed us ways that they are automating our jobs like sandwich and pizza order stations, and expected us to be excited. showing us that they are working to replace us was the only honest thing they did those days. we were treated to a patrick bradley performance that no one asked for or wanted. we made pledges to different initiatives like training and cullinary excellence, that were never discussed again. they may not have known about the layoffs at that time but they should have known better than to waste all of that money. they should not have made promises that were forgotten by them the next day.

Agree about the ECs. Not too much dignity or character in either, one is so unapproachable unless you are a man and the other is too fake and seems to have an agenda when determining whom he should speak with. Would be some savings in cutting those positions. In fact, the last EC that got cut, they said wouldn't replace. What should the current ECs feel, safe? When I hear my store is preparing for a walk by an EC, I think they should be prepared for a walk everyday, by CUSTOMERS! We should do my our best daily no matter who is scheduled to visit! Fear based, exclusionary leadership in the norm in SP.

Our STL cried and it was sincere. He is visibly shaken and it shows on his face. I hate that he had to be the one to do it.

Most of the jobs that got cut were useless anyway.

I was told that once in a ASTL... i think... interview the EC for our stores... she's a lady..... got up in the middle of the interview and took a scissors and cut off the person inteviewings tie.... saying it was stupid looking and laughing.... the guy didn't get the position... though he did on another interview. i would have shit canned that b right there and then. how is someone supposed to continue interviewing when they are the butt of a cruel and destructive joke by the head of the panel interview. unfair and cruel. i've heard she slept her way to the top as well. anyone have any detials?

our ec, no names... so short guy, hispanic last name, probably walks the store with your stl..... is shady as f***. he shakes hands with team members and smiles and can come off as very likable and approachable. who knows, maybe he is a great friend and parent, but in the realm of whole foods, he is not who he seems. you are only as good to him as what you can do for him. he will lie to you. he will tell everyone what they want to hear. but he won't follow through unless it serves him. i've heard rumors of inappropriate interactions with his marketer when he was an stl, i've seen him try and recruit team members for other stores and when the store team leader found out he would blame it on the team member, putting that team member in a difficult place. he protects people who should not be protected, including gangsters who have threatened other team members with violence, stolen from the company (and he rehired a year later), and have had numerous conduct complaints. i've seen him request feedback on his friends in his professional capacity, to only turn around and tell his friends to watch out for team members x & y who shared issues they have had with them. i've seen him dismiss or act callously to hard working people who have been loyal to him for years when they have had medical issues that have kept them out of work. at the end of the day... the guy lies... a lot. sure he is friendly when he comes through, and maybe in his heart he is a friendly guy, but at his core he lacks character and is cowardly in the way he deals with things. ohhh yeah and if you are an attractive female team leader, be ready for tons of praise. you are lucky, he won't address any issues in your department. you can get away with murder. lucky girls!

So, to those saying it was the STL's fault. Post the location. When I stated it wasn't the STL's fault, I was referring to this round of layoffs in a grander scope. No STL stated, "I want to reduce my workforce, spend days fring people, have a store that now thinks I'm a villain." on their own. In that construct, however, of course there are cruel people using this as an opportunity to get rid of people they dislike. It is my understanding that certain positions were removed/consolidated (outside of the STLs decision), and that they were instructed to separate Team Members who are on work performance finals (again, outside of the STLs decision). That is the job that was handed to them. Doing those things doesn't intrinsically make them bad or corrupt. If you have an STL who is firing people outside of those confines and settling personal vendettas, post the store. This thread is meant to bring light to injustice and hopefully let people know who they are dealing with. Simply stating "FACT: For some of the people canned, it was the STL's fault" furthers the ignorance of the situation. If it is fact. Offer details without names, the store, etc.

i can think of 3 people severenced who the stl just flat out didnt like. And it was obvious. No one was shocked by those people leaving, then when the wave came crashing down, the rest who were let go, it was utter shock and dismay. On my way out, I just smiled, and held my paperwork up in triumph. I took it not as a walk of shame, but of pride. I have never seen so many people tear up in that time. I think the reality set in, that no one was really safe.

Fact: For some of the people canned, it was the STL's fault.

Dont let your emotions make your experience bias. No ones saying to be a robot, but even i have trouble believeing some of the nonsense because it comes off more like an attack than stating facts. You can separate the two. It is ok to be angry. But atate the facts first, and THEN express your feelings over them
