Thread regarding Mattel Inc. layoffs

Stock Sliding to $10

BlueMountain says our stock could decline to $10-14. Hope all our new Veeps got stock options as hiring incentives. This place blows. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2015-09-29/bluemountain-s-zorub-says-he-s-betting-against-mattel-shares

No hate here as you're correct on the low profit Collector Cars don't make a lot of money unless you sell them for really big dollars to make margin with low MOQ's. We don't make much with the 1:64 Hot Wheels cars margin wise either, that's all volume driven. Where we USED to make margin/profit was on the Hot Wheels play sets, especially the TV Drivers hopefully with high quotas that can be raised if the demand is there. But the playlets have all been so terribly cost reduced with super thin wall thicknesses, zero paint/deco hits, smaller label shts, less piece count, etc.,etc. which no longer sell because they look & play like crap. The designers that used to work on those playlets were either fired or retired as well. All in order to support all the EVP's, SVP's, VP,s, & Directors who's saleries are the large part of our overhead. Continue to lay off the workers but keep/promote upper mismanagement, that's the problem here folks.

i'm not sure you are aware mr. collector but making better collector cars that are low on quotas but high in cost do not make your business grow. hot wheels is not kept in business by the 15 people in the collector market. no one argues that content sucks. just sayin' that catering to the old men that long for yesteryear is probably not a good business plan. bring on the hate.

I never got the appeal that made upper mismanagement so stiff in the pants over Max Steel. It was always the retarded bastard second cousin twice removed of every other boys action property. Sure it it might have had some popularity in south america, but it IS south america. Max steel is about as sought after as a hot wheels movie. Instead of developing content for hot wheels why not just make better collector cars? Let's be honest most of the collectors could care less about the content.

But these Max Steel shirts are gonna be glow in the dark so count your blessings as perhaps they'll come with a DVD of The Max Steel Movie that was never ever released/shown. Never even saw a printed movie poster D Wadliegh..........aka the most influential man in the toy business as it says on line as he's shown the door this month. It was supposed to be released in Iceland last year, no joke, I swear that's true. Even Iceland said "no thanks". I think Playground Reductions even debuted a SDCC Movie figure under Montalvalvo's brilliant art direction. Awesome. I'm sure our latest Max Steel numbers will be highlighted in the upcoming Q3 results. Really? Every Monday when I get here I see the same scared faces, all eyes saying without saying, "when's it gonna happen"?........ We live pay check to pay check until we either get another job or get laid off. Happy Holidays ;) I guess it's just victimization right? Of course it is, what am I thinking?

Q3 results around the corner but finance knew through projections that they are in trouble long ago so Sinclair started planning his spin months ago. Can't wait to read it & let's see if the stock dips even more by then. 50/50 chance they mention possible reduction in workforce? Any takers? Should be entertaining at the very least.

Well our stock only dropped 13 percent this week. Wait until the 3Q results are posted. I can believe $10, maybe less. At this rate, we'll be at $10 by November. @Mismanagement: Arrogance and ignorance are not virtues. Thank you for proving that pride goeth before a fall. What's your next trick, Sinclair & Dickson, making even more money disappear? What will you do when there are no more seamstresses to lay off? How's your trust fund? Conscience? Sleeping soundly? Drinking much?

MattHell stock is currently @ $19.67 & sliding while Hasbro is holding steady @ $70.65 which MattHell has never even come close to. It's currently a waiting game to see how long the company can continue to pay out the 6% stock dividends as our ca$h flow continues to evaporate. They can't just keep laying off seamstresses can they? Of course they can & will continue to layoff workers in the brands that are bleeding unless you're a super shoeshiner of course. When they have no choice but to cut the dividends the stock will implode even further to perhaps the $10 that was mentioned earlier in this post. Unless you're in upper mismanagement don't make any big purchases as upper management always protects themselves.

Lego doesn't have publically traded stocks. And executive compensation and selling of securities is public record. So you can see what execs are doing by just googling it yourself. But an exec, especially a head of finance, would be stupid to sell off a lot of stock as it would tip off investors that they have no faith in the company. So don't expect lots of movement unless someone is leaving.

MattHell stock @ 20.58 as I type this with Lego stock up approx. 31% YTD which means MattHell would have dump 50% to get to $10 which would be catastrophic but perhaps that would prompt some of our EVP & SVP to jump of the parking structure. Always look @ the glass half full :) Q3 numbers/propaganda mtg. is around the corner so that will give some indication to our stock future. No worries as I'm sure all I EVP, SVP, & VP sold their stock ops long ago as they knew this was coming. Go ahead, just ask K Farr how much MattHell stock he held on to. I triple dog dare you.Let's see if any of those idiots that ask stupid questions @ the Q3 mtg. actually ask a question of our plummeting stock? They won't as it's dirty laundry.
