I got out 4 months ago and am working at Continental now, my advice, jump ship and get another gig before you're one of the cattle. JB and TW have sustained a successful business long enough to allow me to reduce debt and pile up savings, and my family feels gratitude toward each of these men. All of you trolls bitching about "SD being toast" need to exercise some self-reflection: When prices are good, the industry enjoys wealth; when prices are bad the industry tightens its belt. Crying about necessary layoffs says more about each of you trolls than it does about the industry. Take your sense of entitlement elsewhere.
If you as an individual don't possess the capacity to watch your money and save for the lean times, then go work for tinker and enjoy your mindless pseudo-reality of thinking you have security. For me and mine, we'll honker down and wait for things to pick back up, here or elsewhere. Thank you JB and TW for having to balls to create this asset base that has provided for so many of us for nearly a decade!
SD may not be doing great right now but at least we aren't bitter like all of you unemployed CHK trolls. And newsflash (although it shouldn't be): the oil and gas industry as a whole is in the toilet right now, so go back to your own page to cry your tears of bitterness and unhappiness.

Yep, I was laid off but it's the best thing that's ever happened to me. SD has a bunch of lazy managers who definitely do not earn there salaries. SD is the biggest joke in the O&G industry!
JB is no doubt over his head, but he is just trying to keep the lights on as long as possible for his financial sake. The amount of info employees have been sharing within the Industry for payment is comical. Everyone is out for themselves right now.
