Layoffs will happen promptly and many people will be affected. It's likely that DB will not be hitting the US so much but folks that are overseas will get hammered. If they really lay off 25000, that will be about 25% of the overall work force, this is going to be huge and I am not sure if DB can ever recover from such a big layoff. All banks are hurting, earlier this month BOFA laid off thousands of folks, WF was cutting folks too (on the investment banking side) so it's pretty bad overall, layoffs all over the place and it is not going to be better
