Just got offered my same job even though I expressed interest to leave. 48 hrs to agree or else they take it you're resigning in which case you won't get severance. Sigh...I guess I get to pretend to work a little longer

Round 1 had numerous BUs below psg26 just depends what function you're in..cmon people check the RoM resource center
I think that person just meant they aren't specific to one BU, such as the GOM or CBU or previous AMBU ROM's. That's how I took it anyway.
Anonymous 141651, what rock are you under??!! Project Compass ROM (Shipping) offers went out yesterday and today, Also Project Matrix (Supply and Trading) ROM 1 for PSG 25's and above results this week as well.

All you folks on ROM1 are PSG 26+ employees with substantial pay, benefits and points. Most of you will walk away with over millions of dollars in pension & 401k benefits if you wish. It seems you want to hang-in there only to get the severance check of 1x of your annual pay. And you are complaining on this board! Is that correct or am I getting this wrong here?

Well a much respected manager went off today on a position he has in ROM 1. Nobody talked to him, questioned him about his strengths, current position....NO COMMUNICATION. They just place him in a job? He went ballistic. Very unlike him. When I asked him why he went crazy he said "They were threatening me and said you can easily be on the outside looking in if you keep questioning this," Ah the Chevron way. Lets just spin the wheel and see who gets what job!

No severance if you are offered a position. Hell they probably offered jobs to everyone asked to be left standing in the hopes that they'd leave anyway and chevron wouldn't have to pay severance.
Yes me too. I asked for a different role they ignored and same job. I will get paid to look for another job! A large group of us were at my house Sunday. Everyone expressed an interest in leaving a few asked to be left standing for severance. After everyone left my wife asked "People would rather go jobless than return there?" Yes is the answer, We know we are doomed when everyone hates this company and has no longer even thinks how to contribute. It's going to be horrible stuck here as we burn in Watsons 100 billion dollar follies.
I hate to hear that as I'm in the same spot. I'm not even going to post for my current job and they can still offer it to me even I too am EOI! Not sure which is dummer 1) offering someone a job they don't want or 2) working in a job for 1 year for free? Either way apathy will rule.
