GOMBU Reorg, how bad is it? Has anyone have any information to share on the up and coming reorg?

I heard on Monday, the GOMBU will accelerate the layoff of 400 people in mid September.

Y'all shoulda been there da day they announced at the GUMBO:) townhall that Covington employees were in scope of business optimization cuts. You woulda thought somebody died and they was holdin da funeral. Up till that point, Covington employees thought it was dem poor bstrds in Laughayette dat was gonna get cut. Reckon we know better now. Your buddies in HR aint gonna save ya this time.

And the people around here (GOM) have the audacity to act like they are the cream of the crop, while sniveling over holding the hand rail, running to HR because someone disagreed with them or playing the petty political game of childish favoritism or bigotry over anyone not from southern Louisiana.
Agreed, this will be ugly.
Current reorg sits at 20%. This was at $50 dollar oil. They now are deciding if it will be 25% or 27.5%. They are also trying to sell GOM assets. This will further cut employees. I know this is the common theme here, but it is truly time to panic. Bigfoot production loss even at such low oil prices impacted us greatly. GOM is losing 3.15 million dollars cash a day or $1.15 billion a year cash flow because of the f*** up on Bigfoot. BF was scheduled for a 2014 turn on date.....now 2018. Chevron just can not deliver results.
