Thread regarding Follett layoffs

A truly darn shame and sad moment....

When they let Mike Tolly go... he was definitely the last of the "big/great" giants who helped shaped the textbook industry into the 21st century... truly one of the well respected individual and fine a gentleman that ever graced Follett.

Now all that are left are who think they are specialists, analysts, managers, directors and VPs ... who are only good at nocturnal activities... you can deny it all you want but we all know "how and why" you were hired or promoted.... and sure as ain't because any of you know how to run the company or make a honest buck.

When I joined FHEG and knew nothing, I would go to Mike as our local expert and he would always put down what he was doing and help me. He was a world class employee and person.

Not really Neddie... just that I have compassion for people who truly deserve it... but don't worry if that happens to you I'm sure I will sleep more soundly

Hey 138709... you nailed it right on the nose buddy... very well put! The only part I disagree with you (slighty) about is the "asses" part... they have found them because they are always sticking there head in it when "brainstorming" how to actually the company!

So MT is a old dinosaur that can't change and adapt, has become extinct? WOW! If that’s what you’re saying, your arrogance is breathtaking! The dynamic new leaders that have been brought in seem incapable of finding their asses with a mirror on a stick and their decisions have cost the company untold ten and hundreds of thousands of dollars.

The industry isn't the same now as it was in 2000. If you can't change and adapt, you become extinct. Some of the old dinosaurs in Neebo couldn't change, so they were let go...
