Is anyone hearing about layoffs at Barbie Europe? Sales are down... won't headcount decline too?

every group is scraping the bottom of the barrel to save the company. barbie is one of the groups that seems so desperate for ideas nowadays that they need to sell parts of the barrel for ideas, especially the bottom.
These anonymous comments smell like they come from short selling hedge, not real sources of insight. It is too bad that uninformed outsiders have hijacked this formerly useful resource.
They need the layoffs in Barbie El Segundo. People are running for the door quitting for jobs at Hasbro -- or no job at all. The two leaders of Barbie aren't cut out for managing a brand or being strategic in design - sadly, they're also the same two who've been at the design helm on Girls and Barbie the past 3 years... would you want the captain of the Titanic leading your brand turnaround?
the whole place is a train wreck. even HR knows it. it's only a matter of time before it all caves in.
Haven't heard anything but your logic is right - it's just a matter of time, there is no recovery there.
