I love how Follett justifies cutting benefits by saying they are meeting industry standards. Like 'industry standard' is a good thing. Come work for us. We promise to compensate you no better than the lowest paid smuck in the industry. Buy from us. We promise to provide products and service that are no better than the minimal industry standard. Sounds like a good marketing campaign to me.

As a customer you can expect every bit of attention you receive from Rite-Aid or Kmart. We know you don't want to be touched and hassled as if you were in HomeDepot. Our facilities will meet most cleanliness and safety standards. Our employees won't be sick too often (we don't pay them enough to travel. We don't provide medical to most employees, so they won't pick up germs in the doctor's waiting room. We fire them if they call in sick too much. Hey, a few germs will help build your immune system, a service we're happy to give to you for free). Please don't ask about profit margins on text books. It's not like you have a choice. you have to buy them. You might as well buy them from us, right? We offer a single type of sweatshirt, hat, t-shirt, shorts for you institution's classification. Mind you, if you're a top notch school, you're still classified as dull because you outsourced to us. So, there is that.
Have a good day and please return soon.
