USPL cuts 50% ~450

USPL just divested all its terminals. Doug Sparkman, head of Fuel Value Chain does not inspire confidence. A cardboard box has more charisma than this guy. His townhalls are a disaster. For example, asked about contacting him, he responded, "Get on Yammer, but I'm not on it.. "!! The guy needs to go. EPIC (Engineering, Projects) is full of crooks and cronies. Gerald Maret, head of EPIC gave himself and his lieutanants all a letter grade raise. This year we have a pay freeze. How fishy!! They all wear white shirts and don't talk to anyone. One of his guys, Chin Kim, follows him like a dog in the hallway. Chin avoids eye contact with everyone. What leadership. Chin has had 4+ turnover in his group before the cuts started. No one wants to work for him. He's been named in a discrimination lawsuit. Many high performers were cut because they ruffled feathers. During the cuts, they read from a script, "Performance was taken into consideration.. " Ridiculous. Stay away from USPL, and wherever Gerald, and his dog Kim Chin is.

Yes. They ship CK to Ohio. Still no good - still toxic. They do HR pulse and is many many point low than rest of BP. HR wonder why. GM still charge of USPL - very toxic.

Steve and Bert Wicks were the best USPL managers, period. The rest of the so called managers got their jobs from kissing ass, slamming their counterparts and others in their way of moving ahead. These clowns were and are all still suckups in training! USPL has no Managers left.

USPL got rid of all of the productive workers and retained the "ÿes" and life long snakes and kiss assers that told on the good workers to management to stay in their good graces, all of those mysterious huddle room and sidebar meetings that you saw your co-workers go into with your manager, they are all tricks. Now these chumps are on the chopping block now. Karma is a bitch!

I have worked at BP pipelines for over 7 years and have been through a reorganization every 18 months. It is pure chaos. The leadership listed in the previous post only makes decisions that benefit them individually and cares not for the employees. The culture is one of all talk but no action. With the latest reorg, only the incompetent are left. It should be called death by reorg.

Interesting take Gus. I became disenchanted when their version of considering performance and diversity translated into let`s retain only people who look alike and agree with everything out of Porters mouth. No free thinkers allowed.

Somehow focus on four dropped one.leg because people were definitely left out of the equation and "one team" went the way of the dodo bird.

To illustrate, USPL`s upcoming supervisors team meeting is only for 1/2 the companys leaders. If you are getting the boot between September 4 and next year, dont wait for an invite as it wont be coming.

Let the lucky suckups enjoy the fruits of their labour in their brave NEW WORLD ORDER.
