Try working for a publicly held company and this Follett stuff looks like kindergarden play. Seriously?!?! If you left or were let go...get over it already. It's a stupid job. And if you are still at Follett and hate it...get the HELL OUT OF THERE!!! Business is business, its there to make money! DUH!!! This level of behavior will cost companies either time or money. Follett and its management team have violated the code of conduct on so many levels, however, as one stated...it's constantly swept under the rug for some. My only advice is to fight what you truly believe is wrongdoing. Choosing your battles wisely is a must, I get that. However, some things are just wrong! Period!!
LMAO is one of those people who believe that any behavior is okay as long as they can point to someone else who did it first. No morals at all. Pretty sad that this is the caliber of people who are running this company. The Follett family should be ashamed of themselves and the people they have hired to run the company.

It wasn't just a job for me, it was a career and I was proud of the accomplishments our team had. LMAO is the reason that Follett is what it is now. Just another company who does not care about employees, and the employees don't care about the company. Look around, noone cares anymore and puts nothing more than the minimum effort. Follett was competitive for many years, and I received very nice bonus's because we were not just like any company. DG and the rest of the kfarters have made this just like sears/kmart. Any company can open a retail stores and sell the same merchandise. Why do some succeed and others don't.....its the employees that make a difference.

Wow. This got nasty fast. Because public companies treat people like st Follett has the right to do it too? What do you call that, best practices? Sorry, no excuses for a company that prided itself on living the values. Most of these senior management decisions were just nasty, not based on fact. If the family did a qualitative analysis of what the bean counters claimed they were saving vs. what they actually saved the family would not be happy. Doesn't add up. Plus I know there are people that are crooks, openly violated the Code of Conduct,* were reported via the prescribe method and the violators were protected by their superiors. This is not what built the company. Please don't tell me to prove it. It was YOUR job to investigate and do the right thing. You covered it up. YOU FAILED!
