Thread regarding Mattel Inc. layoffs

When all is said and done

Mattel will be a business case in the Harvard MBA program. The title will be, "How the #1 toy company crashed and burned in less than 5 years" . We all know when it started - when Mr. Stockton took the reins and appointed all his friends into positions they were not mentally equipped to perform. The Peter Principle hard at work. Because of Mr. Stockton and his cronies, the company had NO VISION and NO LEADERSHIP for 3+ years. Just a LOT of smoke & mirrors. I take that back. The vision was to become extremely wealthy while taking the company down. And now, everyone is paying the price for the greed and what this man and his good ole boys set into motion. If they were serious about righting the ship, they would start by cleaning house beginning with Mr. Dickson and heading down. It's obvious they don't know what they are doing. It's also obvious they don't care. As long as leadership continues to be highly compensated, what is the motivation? Not that any of them are capable of strategizing or having a vision anyway. Time for Mr. Sinclair to do the right thing and get this company moving into a direction other than down.
