i AGREE...I GOT A $0.39 AN HOUR PAY RAISE...RON SARGENT GOT $6 MILLION....NO WONDER ALL THE DRIVERS HAD TO GO TO PAY HIS NEW $6 MILLION A YEAR ADD ON TO HIS ALREADY MULTI-MILLION SALARY. I FINALLY QUIT AFTER WATCHING THIS COMPANY GO DOWN THE SHIT HOLE AND TREAT THE EMPLOYEES LIKE THEY ARE MEANINGLESS AND EXPENDABLE. I COULD NO LONGER SUPPORT THIS COMPANY AS I WATCHED FRIEND AFTER FRIEND GET LET GO AND THE LAUGHABLE RAISES FOR THOSE WHO STAYED. I ALWAYS GAVE MORE THAN EXPECTED, AND FOR WHAT? TO BE SCREWED YEAR AFTER YEAR. I AM SO HAPPY TO BE OUT OF THERE AND DONE WITH THIS LOUSY CORPORATION WHERE THE EXECUTIVES GET RICH AND THE OTHERS GET "LAID OFF"

Yeah, but even if by some unforeseen sequence of events Ron was somehow forced out from the company, it might not make any fundamental difference at this point in terms of what's going to happen in the future.

Staples has put all their employees in a very stressful situation with this merger and the third party. ... They want the employees to stay focused and help them get through this ordeal and then once clear they will let us go. Whoever stays for that abuse is foolish, severance package isn't worth a pile of beans. Let this giant fall into the pits alone. Guys and Gals please seek other employment don't help them push yourself out. STAPLES SUCK

I'm sure they set an un-disclosed slush fund aside so the can bribe everyone into getting what they want. A million here a million there for a "yes" vote. I'm sure both sides are working the bribary angle.
