If ambu became nojv, what would that mean? Would any jobs remain? If ambu was absorbed by mcbu, would jobs remain in pa?

Sorry, should have said "have OR HAD shadow teams"...some projects I mentioned are old ones.
136223, you must not have much direct experience with NOJV. Every NOJV asset has CVX employees assigned to it; depending on the size of the project and the amount of influence Chevron has in the partnership agreement, there is a large range of support. Some projects (Hebron, Hibernia, AOSP, Tubular Bells, Great White, etc) almost have "shadow teams" with a large staff of engineers, decision analysts, earth scientists, D a few earth scientists were assigned to look at the data along with all their other work. So to the OP: even if it goes NOJV there will still be CVX jobs. Obviously not as many as an operated asset, but it won't be zero. It may be as low as 10% of current staffing levels, possibly as high as 20-25%. They may even keep people in PA, at least temporarily. Don't get your hopes up though.
It's like everyone who reads these boards is a f***ign moron.

And if absorbed by mcbu? Would it still operate out of pa?

That's not actually true. In CVX there are typically a number of people assigned to an NOJV to ensure that CVX's investment is protected. But it is a fraction of the people required to operate an asset.
We should get rid of ambu. We cost way more to operate it then other could.
Hey, OP, do you what a NOJV is? It's s Non-Operated Joint Venture. The "Non-Operated" part would tell you WE WON'T BE THE OPERATOR, only own an interest in the venture. So to answer your own question - NO, there won't be any Chevron jobs in AMBU.
