25+ years, in one of the stores, put a target on your back. Maybe the sadists thought they had done him a solid by not publicly lying about him, discouraging his friends from contacting him and letting him earn that valued 25 year pin. These guys are first class assholes.

There was no announcement about MT. Mike had 25+ years of experience with Follett and complete loyalty. I don't think they would just terminate him and not say anything at all. That would violate the essence of the Follett values.
Salvaging itself? That time has long since past. There is no saving this. The family and CEO are both missing in action
Whatever ounce of hope CM or Follett had of salvaging itself went out the window with the firing of MT!
What do you mean, stores will buy old editions (sarcasm off)
Bottom line is that you can do a lot of analysis, but CM depends just as much on customer service as it does accurate replenishment. When you have wiped out customer service and solely depend on Retalon, you lose.
Sad part is that MT actually had some good ideas. GT and the CM team is under pressure for ordering the wrong books. The proof is in ADC. That team will be wiped clean soon when the sales dont add up to projection. No excuses remain.
the amount of class A screw ups witnessed in Shelf tags, rental titles, etc, I figured someone would be 'blamed' and removed. Sadly it sounds like the person that was removed was actually capable and the real culprits of weeks upon weeks of screw ups were left untouched? Ah Follett, why am I not surprised?
They should've known already way back in the beginning of this madness, when CB and FP were removed from CM. it doesn't matter anymore, they have destroyed the company and nothing will fix it. Make your plans now, because no one will be left.
If this does not indicate to all employees the caliber of benighted fools they have running this company, nothing else will.
